You no dey hear Word?

YOU NO DEY HEAR WORD?

Revelations 2:29
He that hath an ear, let him hear what the spirit saith unto the churches (KJV)
Anyone who is willing to hear should listen to the Spirit and understand what the Spirit is saying to the churches. (NLT)

Proverbs 4:20
My Son, attend to my words; incline thy ear to my sayings (KJV)

Pay attention, my child, to what I say. Listen carefully. (NLT)

God always speaks. He’s a speaking God. We are his off springs. He likes to communicate with us.   When we pray, it ought to be a two way conversation. When we communicate our thoughts to God in prayers, we ought to leave room for him to speak. He speaks, he always does, he always wants to. But do we hear what he says even though we claim we are listening.  Do we hear with our inner ear? Do we wait to hear all he needs to say to us at that particular moment and do we hear to act on what he has said?

Don’t know how to receive?
God hears our prayers and answers them. He answers when we go to him petitioning according to his will, the thoughts he has put in our hearts. These thoughts which are consistent with his word are the answers to our request. This is our material in the now -the answers to our prayers. We are to hold on to it, keep it in mind, put it in our heart, and say it with our mouth till it’s immersed in our spirit. That’s the receiving process.   Also we are to look out for it’s manifestation in the physical. It will come to us, it will be in our reach, and it will be around us eventually. It’s our answer, our opportunity - we should take it.

You no dey see?
Sometimes our answered prayers are just there around us.  Like Haggai saw the well after she had cried out to God, afraid that her baby will die of hunger and thirst (Genesis 21:14-21). Like Abraham saw the ram caught up in its horns after which he was stopped from sacrificing his son Isaac (Genesis 22:12-14). And that’s how we should see.

You no dey recognize?
It is one thing to see and it is another to recognize. The children of Israel saw Jesus and his ways but majority of them still doubted in their hearts that he was the messiah. Like the children of Israel some of us see the answer to our prayers and but still don’t recognize; even though our hearts burn, even if it tallies with what God had said. Maybe it is because it appears too good to be true, may be we had an idea of what it should like in ours minds or maybe we are just too afraid to embrace and accept that which God has given. But we asked and here it is, right before us.

In this year, we should pray that our eyes be opened to see, our ears be opened to hear, our hearts be opened to receive and that the spirit of God helps us to recognize all that God has given to us.

SOWN. SOW.

Seed of Life

A seed has been sown on your behalf.

God has sown the ultimate seed that should produce you a harvest of an everlasting life- a life of abundance on earth and glory in heaven.

John 12: 24 KJV
Verily, verily, I say unto you. Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.

He has sown this everlasting seed in the person of our Lord Jesus Christ. Hence you owe the devil nothing. You should be having no business with him anyway, because you have been translated into the kingdom of God’s dear son (Colossians 1:12-14). Your place is to reap/harvest.

This seed has not only crushed the enemy (on the cross) but also conquered him and gave us victory.

Colossians 2:13-15 NLT
You were dead because of your sins and because your sinful nature was not yet cut away. Then God made you alive with Christ. He forgave all our sins. He cancelled the record that contained the charges against us. He took it and destroyed by nailing it to Christ’s cross. In this way, God disarmed the evil rulers and authorities. He shamed them publicly by his victory over them on the cross of Christ.

Always stay in that position /place/realm where you affirm the seed that has being sown on your behalf in the person of the Lord Jesus Christ, in your life.  Affirm with a strong knowledge that the enemy (the devil) can not strike you.

Seed for life

Take this seed of the word, Jesus Christ and sow continuously in your life. Sow the seed of the word in your life. Sow it in your heart and in your environment. Sow it concerning everything that has to do with you. Sow with your mouth.  You are born of the word

1Peter 1:23 NLT
For you have been born again. Your new life did not come from your earthly parents because the life they gave you will end in death. But this new life will last forever because it comes from the eternal, living word of God.

Hence, you should be sustained by it.

Jeremiah 15:16 NLT
Your words are what sustain me. They bring me great joy and my heart’s delight, for I bear your name, O LORD God Almighty.

Your life needs a continuous watering of the word. Do not deny yourself (your spirit) of that.

Furthermore, whether you have a seed or not, the enemy has one and he will try to sow it. He will try to strike you.

Genesis 3: 14a, 15 NLT
So the LORD God said to the serpent, “… From now on, you and the woman will be enemies, and your offspring and her offspring will be enemies.  He will crush your head, and you will strike his heel.”

The enemy sows.

Matthew 13:25 NLT
But that night as everyone slept, his enemy came and planted weeds among the wheat.

He will sow on your behalf if you don’t have or don’t sow your own seed. He has sordid plans for your life. His plans, contrary to that of God and if you don’t speak God’s word consistently concerning your life, he will try to activate his.

Always have a seed in your hand and occupy your space/land.

The enemy will continue to try to so.

By the way, he steals too...

John 10:10
The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give life in all its fullness.

Journey with us.

Don’t just read your bible, study the word.

Your bible is not a bed time story book, stop treating it as one. It is a life changing book. And then, there’s the level where after you’ve studied, you meet the person of the Word and have a relationship with it/him.  Then the Word dwells in you so much that, when you say, there’s a reaction and an impact. So adversity won’t look back at you as a Christian with that mocking tone and say to you that “Paul I know…who on ‘earth’ are you?”
But instead, adversity would respond according to the Word that proceeds out of your mouth as a Christian. After all, the Word existed before it. The Word has been since the days of “Let there be…”

The Word is power.   The Word is alive.

I wish people would just stop running around looking for miracle up and down and just sit with the Word.

The Word is the miracle.

Everything you need is in the Word. All you need to do is to put it in your heart and in your mouth but not under your pillow.
You are probably afraid and you run every second to a ‘Man of …’ I need you to know that that Man is also subject to a power.

The word is the highest power.

It was in the beginning and it is.

It transforms and it is established. It does not fail, it prospers.

You should try it
